Our Start

R & R Ink is a family owned and operated business. Started in 1986 by Ronald Thurston, R & R Ink began as a one-man shop, working primarily on residential projects and service calls in the Grand county area. Over the years, our company has grown to almost 10 employees and today, we have expanded our operations to include service for both Jackson and Routt counties, offering a full array of electrical solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

With over 80 years of combined electrical experience, R & R Ink has the knowledge and expertise to help make you meet your electrical needs.

Meet Our Team

Ronald Thurston

Master Electrician


Owner and founder Ron Thurston began his journey as an electrician in high school during a work study program. After high school, he joined the army where he was trained as a wireman.

He returned from the army to work in the mining industry as an electrician. When the mine closed, he spent time working for another electrical company before starting R & R Ink. Ron has over 45 years of experience as an electrician.

Ray Thurston

Master Electrician


Ray was first exposed to the electrical world as a child, where he accompanied his father, Ron, to jobs and learned the ins and outs of the trade. Today, Ray is a Master electrician with over 20 years of experience.
Sedar Thurston

Journeyman Electrician


Before Sedar obtained her Journeyman’s license, she also spent time as a child watching her father work and helping gather parts and tools for the job. Sedar has been with R & R Ink for over 15 years.
Sue Thurston

Office Manager


Sue has been with R & R Ink since its founding in 1986. Sue is registered as an electrical apprentice and manages the human resource and accounting aspects of the company as well as other various responsibilities to support the operation.
